Ryan's Restaurant
wine: red burgundy, chateau de la chaize 2001
appetizer: Smoked Salmon - Thin slices of Duck Trap River smoked salmon served with capers, onions, cream cheese and toast points. very very good.
main course: prime rib of beef. very tasty.
dessert: Chocolate Trilogy - Layers of white, dark and milk chocolate mousse on a thin layer of sponge cake.
highlights: the setting was very nice, especially if you are by a window. the backdrop is a forest with a river flowing right under you. our waiter had a little of that condescending attitude thinking we were some immature college kids, and not even telling us the specials of the day... until i mentioned that we used to live "close to napa valley" and acted a little "older and snotty" towards him. he then started calling me "sir."
