what i had:
appetizer - peeky toe crab cake, apple curry sauce
main course - lamb chop
dessert - croquant, tonka ice cream
what aileen had:
appetizer - tuna tartar, avocado ice cream, daikon radish
main course - prime beef tenderloin, artichokes, potato truffade, bordelaise sauce
dessert - pavlova, exotic fruit sorbet
what marina had:
appetizer - tuna tartar, avocado ice cream, daikon radish
main course - seared scallops, leeks, parmesan tomatoes, chicken jus
dessert - raspberry creme brulee, granola
what david had:
appetizer - foie gras terrine, apple confit, brioche toast
main course - baked john dory, butternut-curry gnocchi, thai mushroom broth
dessert - raspberry millefeuille, ice cream
wine - 1994 robert mondavi reserve, cabernet sauvignon
for the first time, there was food that was not amazing - my lamb chop. but still, the place is just drop dead good. marina didn't hear much of the conversation that happened because she just stared at everyone's food. dave was very protective of his food as well, but for good reason. i don't like foie gras or crab cakes, but i could have eaten it all day. dave made the comment after dinner that they need to stop hanging out with aileen and i cuz we make them spend too much money. rightly so.
