Farallon
wine: Iron Horse, Chardonnay 2000 - pretty crisp and more on the sweet side.
appetizer: trio of sashimi. very good, and soaked in olive oil. i was hoping for the ahi tuna tartare, but they didn't have it that day. they had salmon tartare, which is what aileen head.
main course: roasted king salmon. according to aileen, it was the best salmon she's ever had... but considering the only other times have been with what i cooked, i probably agree with her. it came with this foamy sauce and was served on top of asparagus and small baby potatoes. it was pretty good.
dessert: ____ fudge torte. basically, it was a super rich chocolate brownie, underneath two chocolate candies and THE BEST chocolate chip ice cream. it was then covered chocolate fudge. the ice cream was SO good, i wanted to save it for last - and then it all melted. i was trying my best to scoop it up with my spoon and lick the rest... but man...wow... that was some good dessert.

what aileen had:
appetizer: salmon tartare. it was served with guacamole on top of this small crunchy bread. really good. probably my favorite.
main course: something with sea bass. it was the second best sea bass i've had, next to Isa. It was served with these really really good tomatoes and some other veggies. but those were the best tomatoes i have ever had... i've never really enjoyed eating tomatoes until i had Farallon's.
dessert: apricot tart with berry ice cream. it was pretty good, but definitely not as good as mine.

highlights: the decor of the place was out of this world. the ceilings were all domed and tiled, HUGE sea urchin lamps and jellyfish lamps, the service was really good. the place definitely out did the food - i would totally come here again.
