joel (yes, again)

appetizer: pork dumplings with cauliflower, broccoli, sprouts, and aus jus
main course: roast lamb, baby turnips, brousse ravioli, basil jus
dessert: pavlova, exotic fruit sorbet

what aileen had:
appetizer: tuna tartar with avocado ice cream and daikon radish (yes - again. it's that good.)
main course: roasted monkfish, artichokes, potato truffade
dessert: s_____ millefeuille, ginger bread sorbet and caramelized apples

wine: 1998 Ridge, monte bello, cupertino, california

again - joel takes the cake in being our favorite restaurant. they messed up a little in the beginning because we did not get our usual waiter - and the waiter we actually did have thought we weren't his table. regardless, it really wasn't anyone's fault just poor communication - but i think we got our waiter in trouble. but the food was ... to say it in a non-classy way... freaking awesome. the pavlova is aileen's new favorite dessert. and now, both sommeliers know us. they remembered what we drank the last time we were there! and again, they hooked us up with some free champagne.
